First Aid Salve

A salve is a mixture of herbal-infused oil with beeswax that is applied topically to the skin. They are often used to help moisturize the skin, soothe burns, heal wounds, muscle aches and lacerations, and clean scrapes and cuts. This herbal salve is made with beeswax and olive oil infused with Calendula, Yarrow, Plantain, St. Johns wort, Heal-All, and Oregano. These herbs contain a broad spectrum of antiseptic, anti-microbial, antifungal, and anti-inflammatory properties through their volatile oils as well as wound healing properties through their ability to staunch bleeding, promote local circulation, and astringe a wound by knitting together the proteins of the skin.
